What do we do?
We recognise that at present many students are affected by the stereotypes surrounding the subject and we aim to make Computing an inclusive subject that any child can enjoy if they choose.
- We run workshop style events to give children a taste of what Computing is all about with hands on activities and talks. Our events are usually free or heavily subsidised.
- We speak at events to raise awareness of inclusivity issues in Computer Science
- We collate and create resources to help teachers teach more inclusive lessons
Everyone who contributes to #include is a volunteer, most of us are teachers and all of us have day jobs. We are sorry that we can’t visit individual schools to run workshops during the week - we’re all at work too!
