CAS #include received a prestigious Google RISE award earlier this year. All Google RISE partners are invited to a summit to receive training to help boost their organisations. Emma-Ashley and I were lucky enough to be chosen to represent CAS #include in Mountain View, California.
We arrived on 13th April 2014 and had our first chance to meet the other winners. It was fascinating to hear what other organisations around the world were doing to represent Computer Science education and make a difference to the lives of students. It was humbling.
This is a photograph of all the partners during the last session of the seminar. This moment was incredibly special and something that I will always remember. To be surrounded by people with a shared vision and passion left me in awe.
The training was superb and has given us the inspiration and motivation to really boost our progress over the coming year. We are very excited about the future of CAS #include. We are confident that we can make a difference and start working towards developing a diverse workforce in Computer Science - our ultimate goal!
